Laptop with lit keys

What I had hoped for was that by removing the battery you could perform what is called either a 'cold boot' or a 'power cycle'. It is possible to disconnect the battery from the mobo even with an internal battery but it requires at least partial dismantling of the laptop which you may well feel unable or unwilling to do, or may not have the tools to do.

But the keyboard's still fully lit up.Įdited by Chris Cosgrove, 22 June 2021 - 03:24 AM. I've disconnected the power supply, I've removed the Ethernet connection and the Flash drive the laptop's not physically connected to anything at the moment. I've tried pressing the power button, I've tried holding down the power button, but nothing. But I can't do anything with the computer. That's completely lit up, as if the computer's still on.

The only thing that stayed on, and is still on, is the keyboard. And no sound at all from the computer either. No light on the power button, no light to indicate the computer was on, no light to indicate it was plugged in, no light to indicate the CPU was running. I was watching a video on YouTube when my laptop suddenly completely died.
